Genshin Impact 5.5 Adds Android Controller Support

Good news for all you Genshin Impact players on Android: the long-awaited controller support is finally on its way! After iOS users enjoyed this feature since 2021, Android players can now look forward to a smoother gaming experience with the upcoming Version 5.5 update.

When Will Genshin Impact Get Controller Support on Android?

Starting March 26th, 2025, you’ll have the ability to connect your Android device to a controller and dive into the world of Genshin Impact without relying on the touchscreen. This update will officially support four types of controllers: DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. Keep in mind, all these controllers require Bluetooth connectivity.

Alongside controller support, Version 5.5 will bring several quality-of-life improvements to enhance your gameplay. One such feature is cross-scene quest tracking, allowing you to seamlessly follow your quests across different areas. Simply open the map and teleport directly to your next adventure spot.

New players will benefit from updated boss guides that explain enemy mechanics more clearly. Additionally, the Artifact system, Serenitea Pot, and Mail system are all set to receive optimizations. Full details on these enhancements will be unveiled during the Special Program Announcement on March 14th.
