Fortnite Hunters has kicked off Chapter 6 with an exciting array of new features, including a vast map to explore, the introduction of powerful Oni Masks and Typhoon Blades, and thrilling bosses to battle. As the season unfolds, more content is being added, enriching the game with unique items and new gameplay elements.

With Winterfest now behind us, Fortnite Hunters has rolled out its first major update, bringing back beloved unvaulted items from Chapter 4. While the Kinetic Blade might be on some players' wish lists, the Lock On Pistol is another standout weapon that promises to help players improve their aim.

How To Get The Lock On Pistol

The Lock On Pistol, classified as a Rare item, can be found as floor loot or inside chests scattered across the map. While it's not the rarest weapon, players may need to open multiple chests to increase their chances of finding it.

Alternatively, players can try their luck at Fishing Spots using a Fishing Rod. These locations offer a higher chance of yielding Rare weapons, making it a viable strategy to obtain the Lock On Pistol.

How To Use The Lock On Pistol

The Lock On Pistol operates much like other semi-automatic pistols in Fortnite, delivering 25 damage per hit. Its unique selling point is the Lock-On feature. When aiming down sights, a circle appears around the reticle, and any target within this circle will be hit by all fired bullets, as long as they remain within range and aren't behind cover.

This feature is particularly useful against players gliding through the air or hiding in bushes. However, the Lock-On effect only works within a 50-meter radius, so players need to stay close to their targets. For those who prefer a more aggressive approach, the pistol can also be fired from the hip, though this method won't benefit from the Lock-On feature.
