Fortnite teases collab with vocaloid Hatsune Miku - expect a concert, a pickaxe and skin

Fortnite is getting ready for a visit from several artists and performers, and it looks like a collaboration with the vocaloid sensation Hatsune Miku is on the horizon! Recent social media exchanges have sparked excitement among players.

The official Fortnite Festival account playfully claimed possession of Miku's backpack, while Hatsune Miku's account responded with a humorous plea, asking if anyone had seen her missing backpack. But the collaboration reportedly goes beyond just a standard Miku skin and a virtual concert. Expect to see a unique pickaxe and a "Miku the Catgirl" skin as well!

The anticipated launch date is set for January 14th.

Separately, a reminder about fair play: In late December, professional Fortnite player Seb Araujo was accused of gaining an unfair advantage using cheat software, including aimbots and wallhacks. Epic Games alleges Araujo used these cheats to win thousands of dollars in prize money, giving him an "unfair edge over other, non-cheating gamers," according to the complaint.
