The Backstory of Spider-Woman in the World of Marvel Contest of Champions

Spider-Woman, known as Jessica Drew, was exposed to uranium as a child, leading to severe illness. Her father, a brilliant geneticist, attempted a groundbreaking experiment by injecting her with a combination of spider DNA. After a long recovery, Jessica not only overcame the negative effects but also emerged with extraordinary spider powers, eventually embracing her new identity as Spider-Woman. You can add this dynamic champion to your roster in MCOC starting April 17th.

But before Spider-Woman swings into action, another champion, Lumatrix, will make his debut on April 9th. Designed by the Founders, Lumatrix is one of the most lethal assassins, equipped with dazzling light-based powers to infiltrate and eliminate targets with precision.

What Else Is New?

April brings a new chapter to the MCOC story with Act 9 Chapter 2: Inquisition. Carina suffers severe injuries after an encounter with Ouroborus's forces, while Doctor Doom collaborates with the Fantastic Four to combat the spreading corruption of Chronoserpent. A new villain, Lotan, also emerges, adding to the narrative's intensity.

Starting April 9th and running until May 7th, the new Event Quest titled Spy Games will challenge players as Black Widow investigates the mysterious Eidols, with Spider-Woman joining the mission to unravel the mystery.

Dark Phoenix returns in the Side Quest with Dark Bounties, placing bounties on various Champions. Players must track them down to claim their rewards. Additionally, the Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector makes a comeback, offering players the chance to earn Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones by assembling their most powerful Saga champions.
