Dune: Awakening approaches its official launch with an expansive beta weekend testing phase. On April 25, Funcom officially revealed plans for this global playtest event alongside a brand-new cinematic trailer showcasing the game's narrative-driven moments.

The upcoming beta stands out from previous closed tests by lifting all NDA restrictions, enabling participants to freely stream and share their gameplay experiences. According to the announcement, "Players will explore the first 20 hours of gameplay, including most of Act 1's story content, getting a substantial preview of Arrakis' dangerous beauty and intrigue."

Gaining beta access is possible through wishlisting on Steam or acquiring special codes during the global reveal broadcast on May 10. Additional beta details will follow in the coming days.
