"Over the coming weeks, expect a closer look at high-level warrior combat, a Companions Week spotlight, and more!" the developers shared. Here's the schedule:

A Decade in the Making

The development of Dragon Age: The Veilguard has been a long and complex process, marked by several delays spanning almost a decade. Development started in 2015, after Dragon Age: Inquisition. However, BioWare's focus shifted to Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem, resulting in resource and talent reallocation away from the project—then known as "Joplin." Further complicating matters, the initial design clashed with the company's live-service strategy, leading to a complete development halt.

The project was revived in 2018 under the codename "Morrison." Years later, it was officially announced as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf in 2022 before settling on its current title.

Despite the challenges, the wait is almost over. Dragon Age: The Veilguard is launching this fall on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Get ready—your journey to Thedas is about to begin!
