Discounted Pokémon TCG: Journey Together ETBs and Booster Bundles Now Available
After the tumultuous launch of Pokémon TCG: Journey Together, it's surprising to see how quickly things have normalized. Amazon is now offering the Elite Trainer Box for $70.31 and the Booster Bundle for $37.97, right at the manufacturer's suggested retail price. These were the same items that were being scalped just three weeks ago as if they were made of gold-foil Charizards. Now, they're readily available and in stock directly from Amazon. It's a refreshing change of pace.

The drop in single card prices has contributed to this newfound stability. The initial frenzy of panic-buying has subsided, leaving behind a well-designed set that's fun to open and finally accessible. It's the most relaxed a Pokémon TCG release has felt since Stellar Crown. Now's the perfect time to purchase sealed products, especially if you missed out during the launch week and watched the prices on TCGPlayer skyrocket.

This box is packed with value: nine Journey Together booster packs, a full-art foil N’s Zorua, card sleeves, energy cards, dice, condition markers, and a code card for Live. It also comes with a booklet that details the cards you're unlikely to pull, adding a touch of realism to the excitement. I appreciate this as both a display piece and a project to slowly open, savoring one pack a night like a mini cardboard advent calendar of anticipation.

The ETB exclusive card, N’s Zorua, is decent, but the more sought-after cards are now at prices that should have been their starting point. Lillie’s Clefairy ex SIR remains expensive at $180, though that's significantly less than its pre-order peak. N’s Zoroark ex is now around $13, and even the stamped version costs less than a movie ticket. If you're considering opening sealed products, now's the time when it feels less like a gamble.

The card market for this set has been in a free fall, making it an intriguing time to buy. Salamence ex SIR has dropped from $250 to about $106, and it might settle around $100. Iono’s Bellibolt ex, which I thought would be a big hit, is now around $8. It's not great news for early buyers, but it's fantastic for those just entering the market with a Booster Bundle.

I picked up one of these using $10 of forgotten Amazon credit, and it turned out to be a worthwhile bet. You get one pack with random blister artwork, ten cards, and either a thrill of excitement or a calm acceptance of the draw.

I bought this because I'm a fan of quirky acrylic standees and playful Pokémon. It includes six booster packs, a full-art Bellibolt ex, a foil Tadbulb, and fun extras like a sticker and a display backdrop. Are these extras necessary? No. But did I want them anyway? Absolutely.
Bellibolt’s cards, like many in this set, have seen a significant price drop. The standard full-art Bellibolt ex is now $7 to $8, while the Special Illustration Rare version is around $80. It's still pricey, but a far cry from the early days when it was priced like a rare Iono alt-art. This collection is a great choice for fans of the character, and I'm happy to pay for charm when the market has stopped inflating its value.
