Disco Elysium Mobile Version Launched: ZA/UM Targets TikTok Audience
Following the announcement of their new game, Project C4, ZA/UM has unveiled plans for an official mobile version of the critically acclaimed game, Disco Elysium. This mobile adaptation, exclusive to Android devices, aims to introduce the game to new audiences while offering existing fans a convenient, on-the-go alternative. ZA/UM has decided to release the first two chapters of Disco Elysium on mobile for free, allowing players to experience the initial part of the game at no cost. To access the full game, players will have the option to make a one-time payment, ensuring an ad-free experience.
ZA/UM emphasized their commitment to transparency, stating, “We want players to make an informed decision about their potential purchase.” The studio, which now includes both creators and custodians of the Disco Elysium IP, is dedicated to maintaining the integrity and quality of the game, which they believe is reflected in the mobile version they are developing.

Studio head Denis Havel shared that the mobile version of Disco Elysium is designed to appeal to the TikTok audience, aiming to engage users with quick, compelling snippets of story, art, and audio. This approach is intended to create a new, deeply engaging form of entertainment.
Alongside the announcement, ZA/UM released a debut trailer and screenshots for Disco Elysium on mobile. The game features new 360-degree scenes tailored to immerse mobile users directly into the world of Revachol. Additionally, the mobile version includes brand new audio with full voiceover, enhancing the immersive and character-rich experience.
The official description of the mobile version highlights it as a "total re-imagination of the award-winning, gripping psychological RPG Disco Elysium," optimized for short play sessions to fit the lifestyle of today's mobile users. This story-rich adventure allows players to dive in anytime, anywhere on their mobile devices.
Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described the mobile version as "what audiobooks wish they were," designed to be enjoyed in short bursts. Disco Elysium is set to launch on mobile via Google Android in the summer of 2025.
It's important to note that while the studio name remains ZA/UM, many of the key individuals who contributed to the original Disco Elysium have since left the company. Numerous former ZA/UM members have departed and are now working on spiritual successors to the game.
