Digital Adventure: 'Monster Hunter x Digimon COLOR' Unveils Rathalos & Zinogre
Celebrating Monster Hunter's 20th anniversary, Capcom and Bandai have teamed up to release the "Digimon COLOR Monster Hunter 20th Edition"! This special edition features designs based on the iconic Rathalos and Zinogre.
Monster Hunter and Digimon: A 20th Anniversary Collaboration
The Digimon COLOR Monster Hunter 20th Edition is a commemorative release of the popular handheld virtual pet device. Two versions are available, showcasing the vibrant designs of Rathalos and Zinogre. Each device is priced at 7,700 Yen (approximately $53.2 USD), excluding shipping and import fees.
These collectible V-Pets boast a color LCD screen, UV printing technology, and a rechargeable battery. They also include features like "Cold Mode," which temporarily suspends monster growth, hunger, and strength, and a backup system to save your progress.
Pre-Orders and Global Release
Pre-orders for the Japanese release are currently open on Bandai's official Japanese online store. However, international buyers should be aware of potential additional shipping and import costs.
At the time of writing, the devices are already sold out, highlighting the high demand for this collaboration. The first pre-order window closes today at 11:00 p.m. JST (7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET). Follow the Digimon Web Twitter (X) account for updates on future pre-order opportunities. The official release date is expected to be April 2025. A global release has yet to be announced.
