Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.21 Enhances Tech with NVIDIA DLSS 4
Cyberpunk 2077 is once again making headlines as CD Projekt RED rolls out a brand-new update, bringing both performance improvements and cutting-edge NVIDIA technology into the fold. This latest patch not only delivers essential bug fixes but also enhances visual fidelity and frame generation for players using compatible hardware.
One of the most exciting additions in this update is the inclusion of DLSS 4 support. Starting January 30th, owners of GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards will gain access to advanced frame generation capabilities, significantly boosting performance by producing multiple additional frames. What’s more, DLSS 4 improves efficiency on both RTX 50 and 40 series GPUs by generating an extra frame with reduced memory usage—making for smoother gameplay without compromising quality.
For all current GeForce RTX GPU users, the update introduces a choice between two powerful AI models for DLSS Ray Reconstruction, DLSS Super Resolution, and DLAA: the traditional convolution neural network and the new transformer model. The latter brings enhanced lighting accuracy, sharper details, and improved image stability—offering a noticeable visual upgrade for those who enable it.
Additional enhancements include the resolution of interference and crash issues that occurred when DLSS ray reconstruction was enabled. Moreover, the “Frame Creation” setting now updates correctly after disabling resolution scaling, ensuring a more seamless experience during dynamic gameplay moments.
