Crazy Games and Photon Kick Off 10-Day Global Web Multiplayer Jam 2025
CrazyGames is set to launch its exciting Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 this week, running from April 25th to May 5th. This 10-day event, in partnership with Photon, the leading multiplayer service provider, is an open call to indie developers worldwide to participate in a global game development marathon focused on creating innovative web-based multiplayer games.
Participants in the jam will have the chance to compete for a share of €10,000 in cash prizes along with premium Photon licenses, including:
- 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (€7,500 value)
- 500 CCU for a year (€1,500 value)
- 100 CCU for a year (€100 value)
The event's only strict requirements are that games must be developed and submitted within the jam period and must adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these, developers are encouraged to let their creativity soar.
Since its inception in 2014, CrazyGames has grown to become the leading free online gaming platform, leveraging technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGI to provide seamless browser-based gaming experiences for thousands of titles. In collaboration with Photon, CrazyGames will offer support throughout the event and the opportunity for winning games to be published on their platform.
A pre-jam livestream is scheduled for April 24th at 4 pm CEST on YouTube and LinkedIn, where participants can gain insights into two new WebGL platforms: Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Photon Engine’s Head of Growth, emphasized the significance of these platforms, stating, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all experience levels. Interested participants can find more information and register on the official jam page.
