Dynasty Warriors: Origins Gem Crafting and Pyroxene Farming Guide

Boost your character's power in Dynasty Warriors: Origins by crafting and upgrading Gems! Gems provide passive buffs, significantly aiding higher difficulty gameplay. This guide details gem crafting, upgrading, and Pyroxene acquisition.

Crafting and Leveling Gems

Gem crafting utilizes Pyroxene and occurs at any Inn or tent. Select "Create Gems" (second option from the top in your room menu). You can craft gems using Pyroxene at a 1:1 ratio. Five unique gems are craftable, with each Pyroxene having a chance to yield any of them.

Initially crafted gems are level 1 and equippable via the Battle Preparations menu. Crafting duplicates provides experience (XP), leveling up the base gem and increasing its potency. For broad improvement, use all Pyroxene at once.

For targeted gem acquisition, try crafting single gems to trigger "Eyes of the Sacred Bird." This randomly selects three gems, limiting crafting possibilities. Cancel this effect by exiting and re-entering the crafting menu. While tedious, crafting individually increases the chances of activating "Eyes of the Sacred Bird" for your desired gem. Note that even with "Eyes of the Sacred Bird," some randomness remains.

Obtaining Pyroxene

Pyroxene appears as orange crystals scattered across the overworld. Collecting a crystal yields one Pyroxene and removes the crystal. Pyroxene respawns after skirmishes or battles, encouraging exploration of previously visited areas. Occasionally, letters found in your Inn or tent room also reward Pyroxene.
