Get ready for an exciting month of events in *Pokémon GO* this February 2025! From the Lunar New Year festivities to the introduction of Dynamax Moltres, there’s a lot in store for players. Here's a detailed rundown of all the events happening this month.

Lunar New Year Event: January 29 – February 2

The Lunar New Year 2025 event, celebrating the Year of the Snake, runs from now until February 2 at 08:00 PM local time. This event is perfect for Pokémon GO players looking to immerse themselves in the Chinese New Year festivities.

During the event, you’ll see an increase in spawn rates for snake-themed Pokémon, including:

  • Ekans (Shiny available)
  • Onix (Shiny available)
  • Snivy (Shiny available)
  • Darumaka (Shiny available)
  • Dunsparce (Shiny available)
  • Gyarados (Shiny available)
  • Dratini (Shiny available)

Additionally, the event brings exciting bonuses such as an increased chance of obtaining Lucky Pokémon in trades and becoming Lucky Friends with other Trainers. Daily Field Research tasks during the Lunar New Year will also reward you with free PokéCoins. The 2KM Egg pool has been updated to include the following Pokémon:

Legendary Flight Dynamax Moltres Event: February 3 – 9

Following the Lunar New Year, Pokémon GO players can look forward to the debut of Dynamax Moltres during the final week of the ongoing Legendary Flight event. From 06:00 PM to 07:00 PM on February 3, you can encounter Dynamax Moltres as a Max Monday boss at all Power Spots. After this initial hour, Moltres will remain available until February 9, though not at as many Power Spots, as Squirtle, Krabby, and Sobble will also be featured as Max Battle bosses until February 10. Be prepared to explore your local area to find this legendary firebird.

Karrablast & Shelmet Community Day: February 9

On Sunday, February 9, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, Pokémon GO will host a special dual Community Day for Karrablast and Shelmet. This event offers increased encounters with these Pokémon, giving you the perfect opportunity to farm Candies. Evolving Karrablast or Shelmet by February 16, 2025, at 10:00 PM will grant you an Escavalier with the Charged Attack Razor Shell or an Accelgor with Energy Ball, respectively. There are plenty of event bonuses to enjoy, and you can purchase premium Timed Research for US$2.00 (or the equivalent in your local currency) to make your efforts even more rewarding.

Beloved Buddies: February 11 – 15

A new event titled Beloved Buddies will run from Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM until Saturday, February 15 at 08:00 PM local time. While details are still under wraps, we will update this guide as soon as more information becomes available.

Raid Day: February 15

Pokémon GO’s February Raid Day will occur on Saturday, February 15 from 02:00 PM until 05:00 PM local time. The featured Raid boss is yet to be announced, but we will keep you posted as soon as the February Raid schedule is revealed.

Scattered to the Winds: February 18 – 20

Another intriguing event, Scattered to the Winds, is scheduled from Tuesday, February 18, at 10:00 AM until Thursday, February 20 at 08:00 PM local time. Like Beloved Buddies, the details are still pending, but stay tuned for updates.

Road to Unova: February 18 – March 1

The Road to Unova event, leading up to the Pokémon GO Tour Unova: Global event, will start on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM and run through to Saturday, March 1. This week-long event introduces the debut of Shiny Meloetta, features a variety of Raids with Gen-5 Legendaries, and offers increased spawn rates for Unovan starter Pokémon. You can also look forward to premium Timed Research and additional bonuses.
