While this move does not confirm the development of a new game, it certainly indicates that Capcom is considering various possibilities for the franchise's future.

By securing the Dino Crisis trademark, Capcom could be setting the stage for upcoming projects, possibly including a remake of the beloved dinosaur survival horror series. Originally crafted by Shinji Mikami, the creative force behind Resident Evil, Dino Crisis first hit the shelves in 1999 on the PlayStation 1. The series saw two sequels but went quiet after the third game's release in 2003, leaving fans both puzzled and hopeful for more.

These speculations are not without foundation. Last year, Capcom expressed its intent to "revitalize older franchises that haven’t seen new releases in recent years." This statement followed closely on the heels of announcements for the Okami Sequel and Onimusha: Way of the Sword.
