Bethesda to Unveil Oblivion Remake Tomorrow

After months of swirling rumors and tantalizing leaks, it appears that Bethesda is on the brink of officially unveiling the much-anticipated remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The announcement is scheduled for tomorrow at 11:00 am EST, as confirmed by a recent post on the official Bethesda Twitter/X account.

The tweet, which teases an upcoming announcement to be streamed live on both YouTube and Twitch, cleverly hints at the nature of the reveal. The prominent "IV" displayed in the center of the accompanying image, coupled with a background strikingly similar to iconic Oblivion artwork, leaves little doubt about what fans can expect.

Speculation about an Oblivion remake has been rampant for years, fueled by a series of leaks. The earliest hint came from a leaked Bethesda release schedule in 2020, part of the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, which mentioned an Oblivion remaster planned for fiscal year 2022. Though the timeline had passed, making it seem like the project might have been scrapped, the rumors reignited in January of this year with leaks suggesting a full remake was in development, co-developed by Bethesda and Virtuos. The buzz reached a crescendo just last week when further leaks from Virtuos' website surfaced, showcasing images of the remake in progress.

If these recent leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered is set to launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. Fans can also look forward to a Deluxe Edition, which will include the iconic horse armor, in addition to the standard version.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow to see Bethesda confirm these exciting developments and possibly reveal more details about what to expect from the revamped Oblivion experience.
