Bam Margera to Feature in THPS 3+4 Following Tony Hawk's Insistence
Bam Margera, the former professional skateboarder and Jackass star, was initially absent from the announced list of returning skaters for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4. However, recent reports suggest that he will indeed be included in the final roster of the upcoming title.
The update comes from Roger Bagley, a respected figure in skateboarding media, during a members-only livestream of The Nine Club skateboarding podcast (as reported by Video Games Chronicle).
According to Bagley, the game was already completed when Tony Hawk reportedly reached out to Activision with a request to add Margera to the lineup. While the initial response indicated it wasn’t possible, Bagley claims that Hawk was persistent and refused to accept “no” as an answer.
IGN has contacted Activision for further clarification on the matter.
Margera, known for his role in the Jackass franchise and his influential presence in the skateboarding world, has faced well-documented personal struggles over the years, including battles with addiction and multiple rehab stints. He was also removed from Jackass Forever, and a restraining order was issued in favor of Jackass director Jeff Tremaine following alleged threats made against him and his family.
Recent speculation around Margera's potential return to the game began after he and Tony Hawk were seen skateboarding together in a shared video, reigniting fan interest.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, which was officially announced earlier this month, is set to launch on July 11, 2025, for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game is being developed by Iron Galaxy. This project has overcome significant challenges, including near-cancellation following Activision’s merger of former series developer Vicarious Visions with Blizzard.
