Starting today, Dell is offering an incredible deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, equipped with the new GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, priced at just $2,399.99 with free shipping. This is one of the most competitive prices for an RTX 5080-equipped prebuilt system, especially considering the upward trend in prices since the RTX 50 series launch in January. At Dell, the only other comparable prebuilt system with an RTX 5080 GPU is priced over $4,000. Finding a standalone RTX 5080 GPU for a DIY build is nearly impossible without spending as much as you would on this complete system.

$2,399.99 at Alienware

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC features an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU offers a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz with 20 cores and a 30MB cache. It is cooled by a robust 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and the system is powered by a 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.

The RTX 5080 is part of the new Blackwell graphics card lineup, which has been extremely hard to find. In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie noted, "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not offer enough of a performance boost to justify the upgrade. However, it does enhance gameplay with DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation in supported titles. For gamers upgrading from older graphics cards, the RTX 5080 delivers a significant performance improvement, especially if you're keen on Nvidia's AI enhancements."

New for 2025: The Alienware Area-51 Chassis

Dell unveiled the new Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. The chassis maintains a similar aesthetic to the 2024 R16 model but features updated cooling and components. The I/O panel is now located at the top of the case, and the tempered glass window spans the entire side panel, eliminating side vents. Air intakes are positioned at the bottom and front of the case, promoting a positive airflow design that helps keep the interior less dusty. The internal components have been upgraded, including a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more powerful power supply to support the latest CPUs and RTX 50 series GPUs.
