Unleash the Power of Your Keys with KeyMapper! (Open Source!)

This app lets you remap your hardware buttons to perform a wide range of actions. Think of it as a powerful, customizable button remapper for your Android device.

What Can Be Remapped?

KeyMapper offers extensive customization options, allowing you to remap:

• Fingerprint gestures (on compatible devices)
• Volume buttons
• Navigation buttons
• Bluetooth and wired keyboards
• Buttons on other connected devices

Important Note: Only hardware buttons are supported. There's no guarantee that all buttons will work, and this app isn't designed for game control. Your device manufacturer may also restrict remapping capabilities.

Advanced Customization:

Create powerful "triggers" by combining multiple keys from different devices. Each trigger can execute multiple actions, sequenced or simultaneous, triggered by short, long, or double presses. You can even add "constraints" to limit trigger functionality to specific situations.

What Can't Be Remapped?

Certain buttons remain off-limits due to system limitations:

• Power button
• Bixby button
• Mouse buttons
• Game controller D-pad, thumbsticks, and triggers

Also, key remapping won't function with the screen off—an Android system limitation.

Action Possibilities:

Permissions:

KeyMapper requests permissions only when necessary. The app will inform you which permissions are required for specific features. These may include:

• Accessibility Service: Essential for key remapping; allows the app to monitor and intercept key events.
• Device Admin: Needed to turn off the screen using specific actions.
• Modify System Settings: Allows control over brightness and screen rotation.
• Camera: Enables flashlight control.

Be aware that enabling the Accessibility Service might disable "enhanced data encryption" on some devices.
