What Happens When You Give Sargamis the Splinter?

Agreeing to give Sargamis the splinter presents multiple paths:

• Persuade him to use the statue: This results in Sargamis' death and yields the Last Light of Day mace. Completing this action unlocks the "Get In The Statue, Envoy" achievement. Restarting the game after this action places you back at the point where Sargamis instructs you to enter the circle.
