Yakuza Franchise Launches Landmark Anniversary Merch Vote

Celebrate Like a Dragon's 20th Anniversary with RGG Studio's Merchandise Voting Project!

Ryu Ga Gotoku (RGG) Studio is giving fans a voice in shaping the commemoration of the Like a Dragon (LAD) franchise's 20th anniversary, set for December 2025. A unique fan-voting project allows players to select their favorite in-game items to be transformed into real-world merchandise.

One hundred items are up for grabs, ranging from unique apparel and home goods to iconic in-game items. Think lingerie, incense, mahjong tiles, a karaoke microphone, a luxury lighter, 20th-anniversary sake, themed pillows, Kiryu's dragon mask, and much more! The winning item, as determined by fan votes, is guaranteed to be produced and released within two years.

Voting runs from February 8th, 2025, to March 21st, 2025, with one vote allowed per day. Following the voting period, a separate survey will gather input on the winning item's design.

Potential for More Yakuza Remakes?

RGG Studio hinted at broader 20th-anniversary plans in a December 8th, 2024, Twitter (X) post. Director and Executive Producer Masayoshi Yokoyama expressed gratitude to fans and promised various events and announcements leading up to the milestone. The merchandise voting project is the first step in these celebrations. Given the remakes released during the 10th anniversary (Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami), fans are eagerly anticipating similar announcements for the 20th.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii - PC Requirements and Release Details

RGG Studio revealed the PC specifications for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on February 10th, 2025. The recommended graphics card is an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or equivalent, making it accessible to most gaming PCs. The game's availability on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One further indicates reasonable system requirements. Steam Deck verification has also been confirmed.

A story trailer, recently uploaded to YouTube, showcases Majima's high-seas adventure, narrated by the Pirate King Raymond Law (voiced by Samoa Joe).
