Xbox's Apology to Enotria Changes Devs' Tune, But Release Date Still Unset
Following a reported apology from Microsoft, Jyamma Games has shifted its stance on the Xbox release of its debut title, Enotria: The Last Song. While the situation has improved, a firm release date remains elusive.
Microsoft's Apology and Jyamma Games' Response
Microsoft has reportedly apologized to Jyamma Games for delays in the Xbox certification process. The apology followed reports of Microsoft's inaction on the game's submission for over two months, leading Jyamma Games to initially postpone the Xbox release indefinitely.
Jyamma CEO, Jacky Greco, previously expressed frustration on Discord, highlighting the lack of communication from Microsoft. However, following Microsoft's outreach, Jyamma Games publicly thanked Phil Spencer and his team on Twitter (X) for their swift response and support. The studio also acknowledged the strong support from its community.
Jyamma Games is now actively collaborating with Microsoft to resolve the outstanding issues and expedite the Xbox release. Greco confirmed on Discord that Microsoft apologized for the oversight and is working towards a solution.
Challenges in Xbox Releases
Jyamma Games isn't alone in facing Xbox release hurdles. Funcom recently reported optimization challenges with the Xbox Series S port of Dune: Awakening.
While the PS5 and PC versions of Enotria: The Last Song are still on track for a September 19th release, the Xbox launch date remains uncertain. For further details on Enotria: The Last Song, please refer to the link provided.
