WoW Housing: new details shared by Blizzard
World of Warcraft's highly anticipated housing system is set to arrive in 2025, with Blizzard offering a sneak peek at its features. The developers assure players that homes will be accessible to everyone, regardless of their playtime, without complicated prerequisites, exorbitant costs, or random lotteries. Crucially, homes will remain yours even if your subscription lapses. This exciting addition will be fully integrated with the upcoming Midnight expansion.
Initially, players can select a plot in one of two distinct zones: an Alliance-themed area (Elwynn Forest, incorporating elements from Westfall and Duskwood) or a Horde-themed area (Durotar, featuring aspects of Azshara and the Durotar coastline).
Each zone is subdivided into districts, each accommodating approximately 50 homes. Players can choose to build in a public area or establish a private community with friends and guild members. Extensive customization options will be available, with the majority obtainable in-game, while select items will be offered in the in-game shop.
Blizzard highlights three core principles guiding the housing system's design: extensive personalization, robust social interaction, and enduring longevity. Further details are promised in the future, and Blizzard encourages player feedback.
