The Witcher 3 adaptation in the vein of fantasy movies from the 1980s
Tech enthusiasts continue to explore the potential of screen adaptations using modern technology, with their sights now set on the Witcher series. Sora AI, a YouTube channel creator, recently unveiled a concept trailer for a Witcher 3 Wild Hunt adaptation.
Styled to evoke the aesthetic of 1980s films, the project leverages neural network technology. The trailer features numerous recognizable characters from the Witcher universe, including Geralt, Yennefer, Ciri, Triss Merigold, Regis, Dijkstra, Priscilla, and others. While there are subtle stylistic differences, the characters remain easily identifiable.
Recently, the developers of The Witcher 3 hinted at the inclusion of Triss's wedding in the game. Originally planned as the "Ashen Marriage" quest in Novigrad, the storyline depicts Triss developing feelings for Castello and her desire for a swift marriage. Geralt assists with the wedding preparations, tasks including ridding the canals of monsters, procuring alcohol, and selecting a wedding gift.
Interestingly, Triss's reaction varies depending on the gift chosen. Less elaborate gifts receive a lukewarm response, while a memory rose—a familiar item from The Witcher 2—elicits a much stronger emotional reaction.
