Weekly Challenges: New Mode in The Battle of Polytopia
The Battle of Polytopia has introduced an exciting new feature with the launch of Weekly Challenges, designed to enhance the competitive edge of this beloved 4X strategy game. Dive in to discover how this update can transform your gaming experience.
It Was Random Before
Randomness has always been a core element of The Battle of Polytopia, with its diverse enemies, resources, and maps constantly throwing curveballs at players. However, the latest free update introduces a more structured approach to the game's competition.
Each week, players are given the same map, tribe, and gameplay conditions, leveling the playing field. The challenge? Achieve the highest possible score within 20 turns. You're allowed one attempt per day, totaling a maximum of seven tries each week.
An exciting aspect of the Weekly Challenges is the opportunity to play with tribes you might not yet own. The game boasts 16 tribes in total—four available in the base game and twelve more that can be purchased for $1-4 each. With Weekly Challenges, everyone gets to compete using the same tribe, regardless of ownership.
Will Weekly Challenges Make The Battle of Polytopia More Exciting?
Absolutely, the addition of Weekly Challenges is set to inject a fresh dose of excitement into The Battle of Polytopia. Moreover, the new mode includes a League system, starting everyone in the Entry League. Your performance each week will determine whether you move up or down the ranks. The top third of players advance, the bottom third are relegated, and those in the middle remain in their current league.
As you progress through the leagues, the difficulty level increases. Starting with Easy AI in the Entry League, you'll eventually face off against Crazy difficulty bots by the time you reach the Gold League. Missing a week won't lead to demotion, but your ranking will adjust based on the performance of other players.
