Warner Bros. Games is shutting down Mortal Kombat: Onslaught less than a year after its launch. The mobile game was removed from the Google Play Store and App Store on July 22nd, 2024. In-app purchases will be disabled on August 23rd, 2024, with servers officially shutting down on October 21st, 2024.
The exact reasons for the shutdown remain undisclosed. However, NetherRealm's recent closure of its mobile games division, responsible for Mortal Kombat Mobile and Injustice, suggests a potential shift in their mobile game strategy.
Refunds for In-Game Purchases:
The developers haven't yet commented on refunds for in-game purchases. While they promise further information soon, players are advised to monitor the official X (formerly Twitter) account for updates regarding refunds of in-game currency and items.
