World of Warcraft Patch 11.1 is Adding More Areas than Just Undermine
World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, "Undermined," expands beyond its namesake zone. This major update introduces Undermine, a sprawling subterranean Goblin city, but also adds several new subzones.
Key additions include:
-
Undermine: The central focus, a vast underground Goblin metropolis filled with towering structures, narrow streets, and inventive gadgets. A key location within is Slam Central Station, a hub with at least five access points suggesting further connections.
-
Gutterville: Situated in the Ringing Deeps' southeastern corner, this subzone features Excavation Site 9, one of two new Delves in Patch 11.1. Its maroon coloration hints at Black Blood corruption, possibly linking it directly to Undermine.
-
Kaja’Coast: A new Goblin encampment in Zuldazar, near Bilgewater Bonanza. Its proximity to the tram system showcased in the initial Patch 11.1 announcement strongly suggests it serves as another entry point to Undermine.
While the official release date is pending (estimated for mid-to-late February), the Public Test Realm (PTR) access in early January will allow players early exploration of these new locations. The existence of five apparent access points to Undermine from Slam Central Station hints at the possibility of even more Goblin-themed areas yet to be revealed.
