Obtaining Paradisan Ladder
There are five primary ways to acquire Paradisan Ladder in Avowed: purchasing from Merilyn, foraging, side quest rewards, deconstructing items, and downgrading Hylea's Talon.
Merilyn the Merchant
Merilyn, located in South Paradise (see map above), offers the fastest guaranteed method. She initially sells five Paradisan Ladders at 150 coins each. She also sells two deconstructible items – the Many-Hued Doublet and the Common Grimoire of Elements – each yielding two additional Paradisan Ladders upon deconstruction. Note that her inventory doesn't replenish after selling out.
Foraging in the Wild and Cities
Paradisan Ladder can be found throughout Avowed's world, both in wilderness areas and cities like Paradise. The plant's icon (red circle in the image above) appears on the mini-map. Be aware that other plants may resemble Paradisan Ladder.
Side Quest Rewards
Many side quests offer Paradisan Ladder as a reward. For example, the "Escape Plan" quest provides two units. Completing side quests offers a steady supply while providing XP and other benefits.
Item Deconstruction
Deconstructing higher-tier items at a workbench yields their constituent materials, including Paradisan Ladder. Items previously upgraded with Paradisan Ladder will return some upon deconstruction. Check merchant inventories for unique items with Paradisan Ladder listed in their deconstruction details.
Downgrading Hylea's Talon
Once you reach Emerald Stair and acquire Hylea's Talon, you can downgrade each Talon into three Paradisan Ladders at a workbench. Select the "Crafting" tab, then switch to the "Downgrade" section. This is particularly useful for quickly upgrading a new weapon type.
This comprehensive guide covers all known methods for obtaining Paradisan Ladder in Avowed. Remember to explore thoroughly, complete side quests, and utilize the deconstruction and downgrading mechanics to maximize your supply.
