Unlocking Astro Bot's Lost Galaxy: A Guide to Finding All 10 Hidden Portals

Astro Bot Rescue Mission offers players dozens of explorable worlds, but a hidden tenth world, the Lost Galaxy, requires discovering ten cleverly concealed portals scattered throughout the game. This guide details the location and access method for each. Look for the swirling icon on the level select screen – it indicates a hidden portal within that stage.

Portal #1: Az-Tech Trail

Mid-level, locate a dark room with four lit torches surrounding a wall. Use the Twin-Frog Gloves to extinguish all four flames. The wall will then open, revealing the portal.

Portal #2: Creamy Canyon

Early in the level, past a bouncing ladybug, grab the charging pig. Swing it towards the icy statue until it's targeted, then release. The pig will destroy the statue. Backtrack, flip over the ladybug, bounce to the upper platform, and perform a charged spin attack to access the portal room.

Portal #3: Go-Go Archipelago

After defeating Captain Pincher, locate his claw embedded in the ground. A glowing light indicates a spot for a charged spin attack. Drill down to uncover a hidden room containing the portal.

Portal #4: Downsize Surprise

Near the level's end, find a bubble-blowing frog. Blow into the controller to activate the bubbles. Shrink, ride a bubble, and transfer to another before it pops to reach a branch above a bot. Navigate to the opposite branch to find the portal.

Portal #5: Free Big Brother!

At the level's start, turn around and find platforms with an electric enemy. Lure it to electrocute the platforms, revealing the hidden portal behind.

Portal #6: Bathhouse Battle

Mid-level, locate a house with a flaming chimney. Absorb water, reach the roof, extinguish the flames, and descend the chimney to find the portal.

Portal #7: Hieiroglitch Pyramid

At the level's end, turn right to an area with falling jewels. A bounce pad leads to a hidden area with a trap. Find two hidden switches to open the pathway to the portal.

Portal #8: Balloon Breeze

This is the most challenging portal. Obtain the pufferfish power-up and backtrack to an early area with a bouncing ladybug and a distant platform. Use the ladybug to reach the platform, activate the pufferfish, hover to the platform, and use motion controls to clear bamboo surrounding the portal. Activate it by circling the perimeter.

Portal #9: Djinny of the Lamp

After defeating Djinny, climb the ruins. Invisible platforms are indicated by glowing ground. Hover to each, using the rug to reach the final platform containing the portal.

Portal #10: Frozen Meal

Before the boss fight, roll a snowball into a large ball and use it as a platform to reach the cliffside area, where the final portal awaits.
