"Torchlight: Infinite Season 8: Sandlord Launches This Month"
Torchlight: Infinite is gearing up for an exciting new chapter with the launch of Season 8: Sandlord on April 17th. This season promises a major shakeup with the introduction of the Cloud Oasis, featuring innovative economic gameplay mechanics that will let players build and manage their own aerial empire. Alongside this, the beloved character Thea returns with a fresh twist, her new Blasphemer trait, which trades divine powers for a potent curse called Desecration. This curse starts off weak but scales significantly, enhancing Erosion damage based on the depletion of her blessing power. Players can further customize this trait into area-of-effect explosions or health-scaling effects, catering especially to those who enjoy damage-over-time mechanics and intricate build synergies.
Endgame content in Torchlight: Infinite is also seeing significant enhancements. The Deep Space area has been completely overhauled, introducing five new stages with expanded maps and more challenging enemies. A new system called Probes allows players to adjust the risk and reward levels, potentially leading to better loot, including Compass chests through the Compass Probe feature.
Season 8 also introduces a Blending System for belt crafting, which enables players to fuse Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into a single item slot, offering deeper customization options for builds. Additionally, a new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, has been added to both Plane Watcher and the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown, providing fresh challenges for seasoned players.
To celebrate the launch of Sandlord, Torchlight: Infinite is hosting the Sands of Fortune anniversary event from April 17th to May 1st. Players can participate in various tasks to earn Gold Rush Attempts and compete for a share of a $250,000 prize pool.
