The acquisition of Thrayir hinges on a cyclical weather event on Siren Isle known as the Storm, which features multiple phases. Players must collect five Runekeys during these stormy periods. Here's the breakdown:

• Whirling Runekey: This key is obtained from Ksvir the Forgotten, a rare spawn found in the Forgotten Vault's southernmost chamber only during a Storm.

• Torrential Runekey: Collect seven Torrential Fragments from any enemy on Siren Isle while a Storm is active.

• Thunderous Runekey: Gather five Thunderous Fragments from chests scattered across Siren Isle. Unlike the other fragments, these chests can be found regardless of the Storm phase.

• Cyclonic Runekey: This key is acquired through fishing anywhere on Siren Isle during a Storm or as a potential drop from Zek’ul the Shipbreaker in the Deadfin Mire.

• Turbulent Runekey: Requires locating three Turbulent Fragments in specific locations near Kul Tiran ghosts:

  • Behind the abandoned inn, dig in the garden.
  • Inside a cave in the Rotting Hole zone (the ghost will be cowering).
  • Inside the Spirit-Scarred Cave (the ghost offers the fragment).

Once all five Runekeys are in your possession, return to the Forgotten Vault, but only during the Seafury Tempest phase of the Storm. Entering the Vault during other phases will not trigger the ritual. Proceed to the eastern chamber where Thrayir's body rests on a platform with five runestones. Insert the corresponding Runekeys, and you'll receive the quest "Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren." Complete the quest to claim your magnificent new mount!
