Texas Chainsaw Returns for June 2024 Revival
Sumo Digital releases a significant update for Texas Chain Saw Massacre on June 25th, 2024, focusing on character skill tree fixes and general gameplay improvements. This update addresses several bugs impacting the user interface (UI), visuals, and character abilities, ensuring a smoother and more balanced experience across all platforms (console and PC).
Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Sumo Digital's asymmetrical horror game based on the classic 1974 film, pits the terrifying Slaughter family against a group of survivors. The game has been praised for its atmospheric horror and faithful recreation of the film's chilling essence.
The June 25th update introduces the Hitchhiker's Claymore outfit, a new cosmetic item available for $2.99 USD. Beyond the new cosmetic, the update includes substantial fixes and refinements:
- Improved Lobby Cooldown: The penalty system for leaving lobbies has been adjusted for better efficiency and improved matchmaking.
- Hands Character Adjustments: Significant changes have been implemented to address an exploit related to Hands' stamina, preventing excessive attacks. His ability tree upgrades have also been corrected to function correctly at all tiers. The "Rip Stalled" perk has been fixed to correctly apply its cooldown duration to generators and car batteries.
- Cook and Julie Skill Tree Fixes: Issues preventing players from reaching level 10 on Cook's middle path and Julie's left path have been resolved by adding additional attribute points. Further fixes ensure all nodes in Cook's skill tree are now unlockable.
- Skill Tree Node Connections: Visual issues with incorrect connection lines between attribute nodes across all skill trees have been resolved.
- UI and Visual Fixes: A bug causing removed perks to be incorrectly displayed in character customization has been fixed. Additionally, visual problems with Maria's hair and model have been addressed.
