T-1000 gameplay trailer for MK1 brings more references to the Terminator 2 movie

NetherRealm and WB Games have recently released the official gameplay trailer for T-1000, who is set to make his grand entrance into Mortal Kombat 1 next Tuesday. This character brings a unique twist to the game, thanks to his ability to transform into liquid metal, allowing him to creatively evade projectiles. Fans who previously enjoyed playing as Kabal will likely find T-1000 appealing, as he incorporates some of Kabal's signature weapons and moves, even though Kabal himself isn't featured in the game.

The trailer also pays homage to the iconic film Terminator 2: Judgment Day. One notable reference is the recreation of the famous scene where T-1000 wags his finger—a gesture that's interestingly banned in the NBA as unsportsmanlike conduct. In another nod to the film, T-1000 interacts with Johnny Cage, asking if he's seen John Connor.

In addition to T-1000, the trailer introduces Madam Bo, who will be joining the roster alongside him. T-1000's Fatality showcases his liquid metal capabilities, as he changes his appearance and efficiently replaces his victim, embodying the machine's mission to its fullest.

WB Games has not made any further announcements at this time. There are whispers among the gaming community that this might be the final wave of new content for Mortal Kombat 1, with speculation about an upcoming announcement for a new game. However, these rumors remain unconfirmed.
