How To Study a Historical Display in The Sims 4 Blast From the Past Event

Week 2 of The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event presents a puzzling challenge: studying a Historical Display. This guide clarifies how to complete this seemingly simple, yet surprisingly problematic, task.

Locating a Historical Display

The Week 2 quest requires interaction with a Historical Display, found within a museum. Experienced players likely know their local museum's location. New players should consult their in-game map, searching for the pillar icon representing museums. While four exist, the Municipal Museum (Willow Creek) and The Future's Past (Oasis Springs) are recommended due to their proximity to other event tasks.

Completing the Task

Upon entering a museum, locate a painting or sculpture (both qualify as Historical Displays). Click on the chosen item and select "View." Successful completion is indicated by the appearance of the Emit icon.

Troubleshooting Common Problems

Many players report difficulties, often attributed to mods interfering with the "View" interaction. If encountering this issue, temporarily disabling mods might resolve the problem. If the issue persists even after removing mods, attempting to view multiple displays across different museums is suggested. Hopefully, EA will address this bug soon.
