Spider-Man Animated Series on Disney+ Already Renewed for Seasons 2 and 3

Marvel's animated "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" series, following Peter Parker's freshman year, has received early renewals for both Season 2 and Season 3.

Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation, revealed in an interview with The Movie Podcast that Season 2's scripts are complete, with half of the animatics already finished, even before Season 1's premiere on January 29th. Season 3 has also been greenlit.

Winderbaum expressed his enthusiasm for the show, stating, "I've fallen so head over heels in love with these characters...What [lead writer Jeff Trammell] is building brick by brick starts to pay off...and it just gets deeper and deeper in subsequent seasons." He mentioned upcoming meetings with Trammell to discuss the Season 3 pitch, but offered no release dates for either Season 2 or 3.
