The Blast from the Past event begins with a quest to uncover information about a mysterious visitor, Emit. You'll gather clues by watching TV, checking social media, and chatting with other Sims. The hunt for the Special Time Capsule, however, presents a unique challenge.

The only clue you receive is to search for rocks near parks. After interacting with Emit at the Willow Creek park (a logical starting point), begin examining rocks in the area. Look for a rock that appears to contain diamonds. Interact with it to unearth the Special Time Capsule. Note that you might need to check several rocks before finding the right one.

Opening the Special Time Capsule reveals an IOU note—a slightly underwhelming reward for your efforts. Read the note and return to Emit to unlock further quests within the Blast from the Past event.
