To commemorate this momentous occasion, Electronic Arts (EA) is rolling out a plethora of updates and celebratory events across the entire franchise, including mobile versions.

Initially conceived as a spin-off of SimCity, The Sims revolutionized gaming by offering unprecedented control over the lives of virtual characters, known as Sims. Players guide their Sims through life's major milestones – from childhood and education to marriage, careers, parenthood, and ultimately, the end of their digital lives. Mobile Mania: Y2K Throwback and More!

Mobile gamers are in for a treat! The Sims FreePlay and The Sims Mobile are receiving substantial updates to join in the anniversary festivities. The Sims FreePlay features the "FreePlay 2000" update, a nostalgic trip back to the Y2K era, complete with vibrant 2000s aesthetics and culture. Additional live events and a 25-day gifting extravaganza add to the celebratory atmosphere. The Sims Mobile is also participating, offering two free gifts to players throughout its birthday week, commencing March 4th.
