How To Get Shroodle in Pokemon GO

Author : Gabriella Mar 21,2025

The new year in *Pokémon GO* is off to an exciting start, with a wave of new Pokémon for trainers to catch! Following the arrival of Fidough, trainers can now add Shroodle to their collection. However, unlike many Pokémon, Shroodle isn't readily available as a wild spawn.

When Did Shroodle Arrive in Pokémon GO?

The Toxic Mouse Pokémon, Shroodle, made its debut in Pokémon GO on January 15, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Originally introduced in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, Shroodle is a relatively new addition to the Pokémon world. After the event concludes, Shroodle will remain available for players to catch.

Can Shroodle Be Shiny?

Unlike some recent Pokémon releases, Shroodle is not available in its Shiny form at launch. Its Shiny variant will likely be introduced in a future event, possibly one focused on Poison-type Pokémon or Team GO Rocket.

Many new Pokémon aren't found in the wild, and Shroodle follows this trend. Instead of appearing on your Nearby radar, you'll need to hatch Shroodle from 12KM Eggs. Currently, this is the only way to obtain Shroodle in Pokémon GO.

12KM Eggs collected from 12 AM local time on January 15th onwards have a chance to hatch into Shroodle. Its hatch rate is expected to be higher during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, but it should remain part of the 12KM Egg pool afterward.

How to Get 12KM Eggs

Since Shroodle is exclusive to 12KM Eggs, a reminder on how to obtain them might be helpful. These eggs are relatively rare, and there's only one way to get them:

Defeat Team GO Rocket Leaders (Sierra, Arlo, and Cliff) or Giovanni in battle. The Fashion Week: Taken Over event is an ideal time to stock up on 12KM Eggs, as Team GO Rocket will be more prevalent, and Rocket Radars easier to acquire. However, you can challenge GO Rocket Grunts at any time to encounter these Leaders and obtain a 12KM Egg (provided you have space in your inventory).

Shroodle's evolution, Grafaiai, also debuted on January 15th. Unlike Shroodle, it cannot be hatched from Eggs or found in the wild. The only way to obtain Grafaiai is by evolving a Shroodle.

Evolving a Shroodle requires 50 Shroodle Candy. This means you'll need to hatch several Shroodle or make one your buddy to collect enough Candy.

*Pokémon GO* is available now.
