Get ready for a thrilling year in Hearthstone! 2025 promises a wave of exciting updates, fresh gameplay mechanics, and brand-new features. Expect the usual trio of expansions, Mini-Sets, and Battlegrounds seasons, all arriving soon.

The success of the Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set has clearly energized Blizzard, fueling their commitment to ongoing fun throughout the year. They've even unveiled a roadmap offering a glimpse into the game's near future.

What's in Store for the Year of the Raptor?

A major highlight is the long-awaited Arena revamp. In development since last year, this refresh is poised to attract a new generation of Arena players.

Cosmetics are also receiving a significant upgrade. New Mythic skins and Signature cards are on the way, along with a completely novel addition: Pets! These adorable companions will be integrated into a new cosmetic acquisition system, although Blizzard is keeping some details under wraps for now.

The Year of the Raptor officially begins with the first expansion, Into the Emerald Dream. Card reveals begin next week, but the in-game celebration has already started. Complete the Event Track to earn rewards such as The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and a Raptor Herald card.

A dynamic, evolving game board is launching alongside the expansion. This Year of the Raptor board will remain in Hearthstone throughout the year, receiving visual and audio updates with each new expansion.

Finally, the Core Set is also getting a refresh. Expect the return of some classic cards (with potential adjustments), alongside the addition of brand-new cards.
