Ralts

A creative Pokémon fan has designed unique convergent forms for Ralts, with distinct appearances for each gender. Pokémon fans frequently leverage existing franchise elements to fuel their creativity, and convergent forms – a relatively new concept – are a popular choice.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet introduced convergent Pokémon, defined as ecologically similar but distinct species. Paldea and Kitakami boast six such Pokémon: Toedscool, Toedscruel, Wiglett, Wugtrio, Poltchageist, and Sinistcha (convergent forms of Tentacool, Tentacruel, Diglett, Dugtrio, Polteageist, and Sinistea respectively). This concept inspires fan creations, like the recent artwork by one Pokémon enthusiast.

Twitter user OnduRegion unveiled a captivating concept: two convergent Ralts forms, dubbed "Salts." The female Salts resembles a mermaid, its bowl cut adorned with a starfish, its eyes visible. The male Salts, conversely, features a differently colored tail, shark-like fins in its bowl cut, and a concealed face.

Creative Pokémon Fan Art Reimagines Ralts as a Water-Type

OnduRegion also provided details, including abilities and stats. The female Salts is a Water/Psychic type, its Pokédex entry describing it as an ocean-dwelling Pokémon that lures humans to steal their possessions. The male Salts, a Water/Dark type, is characterized as a stubborn, clumsy creature with a habit of biting hard objects to strengthen its teeth.

This isn't OnduRegion's first impressive contribution to the Pokémon community; previous works include new forms for Charcadet, a Hawlucha evolution, and striking Paradox Forms for Mewtwo X and Y. Their Ralts convergent forms seamlessly blend creativity with the established Pokémon style, enhanced by the accompanying lore. OnduRegion's designs make it easy for fans to envision Ralts with convergent forms in the actual game.
