The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza taking place in three global cities across different dates in May and June:

• Osaka, Japan: May 29 - June 1
• Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6 - June 8
• Paris, France: June 13 - June 15

What to Expect at Pokémon GO Fest

Pokémon GO Fest is an annual global event offering exclusive items, enhanced gameplay, and exciting bonuses. In-person events in host cities provide unique experiences. Tickets are required for both in-person and online participation.

Expect the appearance of rare Pokémon unavailable through standard gameplay, increased Shiny Pokémon encounter rates, location-specific spawns based on habitats, exclusive merchandise, themed sets, community hubs, and team lounges for in-person attendees. The event will generally follow the successful format of previous years.

January Events: Fashion Week & Shadow Raid Day

Beyond Pokémon GO Fest, Niantic announced two additional January events:

Fashion Week: Taken Over (January 15th - 19th, 2025): This event features the debut of Shroodle and Grafaiai, obtainable from 12km Eggs. Shadow Palkia will be available by rescuing it from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni. Other Shadow Pokémon, such as Snivy and Tepig, will also appear. Keep an eye out for a fashionably dressed Croagunk during snapshots!

Shadow Raid Day (January 19th, 2025): Trainers can battle Shadow Ho-Oh in five-star Shadow Raids. A $5 USD ticket grants eight additional Raid Passes, increased chances of Rare Candy XL, 2x Stardust, and 50% more XP from Raid Battles. Shiny Ho-Oh will have increased encounter rates, and lucky trainers can teach their captured Ho-Oh the signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
