Path of Exile 2: Unlocking Power Charges Explained
In Path of Exile 2, Power Charges are a crucial element for creating powerful builds. While not essential for most builds, they are the foundation of some exceptionally strong character configurations, such as the Tempest Flurry Invoker. This guide explains how to generate and effectively utilize these charges.
Unlike Frenzy or Endurance Charges, Power Charges are inactive until consumed by a specific skill. Their default duration is 20 seconds, refreshed with each new charge acquired.
Generating Power Charges:
Several skills directly generate Power Charges. For instance, Killing Palm
grants a charge per successful killing blow, and Profane Ritual
generates charges while dealing Chaos damage over time.
The passive skill tree's "Resonance" node converts Frenzy Charges into Power Charges, enabling creative combinations with skills and Support Gems.
Furthermore, "Cast on Ailment" buffs (Shock, Freeze, Ignite, etc.) can be configured to automatically generate Power Charges. Linking these buffs with skills like Profane Ritual
creates a passive charge generation system, particularly effective against stronger enemies.
Power Charge Support Gems:
Several Support Gems enhance Power Charge generation and consumption:
These gems, combined with strategic skill choices and passive tree allocation, unlock the full potential of Power Charges in Path of Exile 2, allowing players to create exceptionally potent builds. Remember, while not universally required, mastering Power Charges opens up a world of powerful build options.
