Orna, The GPS MMORPG, Is Dropping Terra's Legacy To Raise Environmental Awareness

Orna, the fantasy RPG and GPS MMO by Northern Forge Studios, is hosting Terra's Legacy, a unique in-game event focused on real-world environmental issues. From September 9th to 19th, players will combat pollution-themed enemies and contribute to cleaning up real-world polluted locations.

Combating Pollution, Virtually and in Reality:

Terra's Legacy merges virtual gameplay with real-world environmental action. Players will identify polluted or littered areas in their surroundings and report them through the Orna app. Northern Forge will then transform these locations into in-game "Gloomsites," representing the impact of pollution.

These Gloomsites are where players battle the Murk, a pollution-themed enemy, earning rewards and contributing to raising awareness. Defeating the Murk allows players to plant virtual trees and grow Gaia apples in the corresponding real-world locations. These apples can be used to customize characters and enhance their abilities, and can be harvested by other players. The more players participate, the greater the impact, both in-game and in the real world.
