Onimusha: Way of the Sword introduced its protagonist, Miyamoto Musashi, strikingly rendered using the likeness of legendary Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune. The trailer depicts Musashi's valiant—and occasionally humorous—battle against demons that have invaded Kyoto from the depths of hell.
Musashi, through his unwavering faith, wields the powerful Oni Gauntlet. His mission: to combat the monstrous creatures plaguing the world of the living and absorb their souls to replenish his health and unleash devastating special abilities.
