Ninja Gaiden 4 announced, Ninja Gaiden 2 remaster released
Developer_Direct showcased more than just DOOM: The Dark Ages; the highly anticipated Ninja Gaiden 4 also made a splash. Set for an autumn 2025 release, the game promises a thrilling return to the action-packed slasher style that defines the series.
The reveal trailer highlighted Ryu Hayabusa's return as the protagonist, navigating a rain-soaked cyberpunk city battling modified soldiers and otherworldly creatures. New mechanics, such as swift traversal using wires and rails, were also showcased. The game's setting, a cyberpunk metropolis under perpetual toxic rain, adds a unique atmospheric element. Players will face formidable enemies as they strive to lift an ancient curse.
Adding to the excitement, a significant remaster of Ninja Gaiden 2, already available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S (including Game Pass), was also announced. Team Ninja has meticulously rebuilt the game using Unreal Engine 5, resulting in overhauled character models, visual effects, and environments. Furthermore, elements from later installments in the series have been incorporated, including three additional playable characters.
Koei Tecmo's efforts on both Ninja Gaiden 4 and the Ninja Gaiden 2 remaster are truly commendable and deserve the enthusiastic response from fans.
