Netease Unveils Ananta, Project Mugen's Official Name

NetEase Games and Naked Rain's Project Mugen has been officially unveiled as Ananta, a captivating urban, open-world RPG. A new promotional video and teaser trailer showcase the game's title, gameplay, and a more detailed look at its world, diverse characters, and formidable enemies.

The preview offers a glimpse into Nova City, the sprawling metropolis serving as the game's setting. Players will encounter a diverse cast of characters while battling the encroaching forces of Chaos.

While comparisons to MiHoYo's titles, particularly Zenless Zone Zero, are inevitable, Ananta distinguishes itself through its unique movement mechanics. The trailer highlights impressive movement capabilities, raising questions about the level of freedom players will have in traversing Nova City – whether movement will be confined to specific areas or allow for more fluid, Spider-Man-esque exploration.
