NBA 2K All-Star Mobile Game Launches Next Month

Author : Samuel Mar 13,2025

NBA 2K All-Star, a mobile adaptation of the popular basketball simulation series, is launching in China on March 25th. Developed through a partnership between Tencent and the NBA, this live-service game promises to bring the excitement of NBA 2K to mobile players in the East.

The increasing popularity of mobile gaming has led to a surge in AAA sports simulators on mobile platforms. Tencent's collaboration with the NBA, however, is particularly noteworthy, given basketball's immense popularity in China. This partnership leverages both companies' strengths in the gaming and sports entertainment industries.

The absence of the usual yearly branding (e.g., 2K24, 2K25) suggests a long-term live-service model for NBA 2K All-Star. The specific features and content included in this mobile version remain to be seen, adding to the anticipation surrounding its March 25th release.

Currently, details about NBA 2K All-Star are limited, leaving much to speculation. However, this release, along with other NBA mobile titles like Dunk City Dynasty (also a collaboration with the NBA), highlights the league's growing commitment to mobile gaming. While some ventures, such as NBA All World, haven't met expectations, the overall trend suggests mobile is becoming a key platform for engaging NBA fans.
