EcoDash Fights Pollution in Nature-Themed Runner

Mother Nature: EcoDash is a new Android endless runner with a purpose. The name alone hints at this game's mission: confronting pollution directly. It's developed by BOM (Birmingham Open Media), a UK-based immersive arts organization.

The game is a collaboration between BOM and a group of girls aged 11-18 from Powered by CAN, a youth initiative. With their contributions, BOM's Immersive Studio shaped everything from the visual style to the core gameplay.

What Makes Mother Nature: EcoDash Unique?

You step into the role of Mother Nature, a Black female scientist dedicated to cleaning the city and rescuing animals. She is pursued by Smog, a villain set on spreading pollution. You dodge pollutants, gather air purifiers, and manage the smog level to avoid being overtaken by toxic clouds.

Beyond running and jumping, Mother Nature: EcoDash features various rescue missions. As you speed through urban environments, you'll encounter endangered animals in need of assistance. Reach the rainforest to return them safely to their natural home.

BOM had a clear objective in developing this game: to present climate change and air pollution in an accessible, engaging manner. The game includes various power-ups, shields, and bonus items to aid your progress.

Mother Nature: EcoDash is a straightforward game with a meaningful environmental message. It's available on the Google Play Store if you'd like to try it.
