Intriguingly, the discovered animations include those for recently added DLC characters like Ghostface, fueling speculation of their inclusion in a future update rather than being scrapped. InfiniteNightZ believes this is highly likely, given their presence in the updated character roster.

Further bolstering this theory, the animations are reportedly labeled as "Quitalities" within the game's code—quick finishers triggered by opponent disconnections, a feature present in previous Mortal Kombat titles.
