MiHoYo’s Upcoming Animal Crossing-Like Game Astaweave Haven Now Has a New Name!

MiHoYo, the Chinese developer behind HoYoVerse, is making waves with its upcoming project. Initially known as Astaweave Haven, the game has been renamed Petit Planet, even before a full reveal. This suggests significant changes are underway.

If you're a fan of gacha or RPG titles, you might have encountered Astaweave Haven's name before. While official details remain scarce, it's understood this new game will differ significantly from HoYoVerse's typical open-world gacha adventures.

Instead of an open-world gacha, Petit Planet is shaping up to be a life simulation or management game, reminiscent of titles like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley. This name change reflects this shift. Petit Planet sounds more charming and hints at its likely genre.

Release Date Uncertainty

The game is still under development, lacking a confirmed release date. Astaweave Haven received Chinese approval for PC and mobile releases in July. However, HoYoVerse registered Petit Planet on October 31st, and the new name now awaits US and UK approval.

Given MiHoYo's rapid release schedule (consider the quick succession of Zenless Zone Zero after Honkai: Star Rail), we can anticipate a relatively swift launch following name approval. Hopefully, a gameplay reveal will follow soon.
