What's the Buzz?

Metal Slug: Awakening delivers a modern update to the beloved 90s franchise. Initially revealed in 2020 by TiMi Studios as Metal Slug Code: J, the game has undergone development and name changes, finally debuting in Southeast Asia in late 2023. Now, it's ready for worldwide release.

For those unfamiliar, Metal Slug is a renowned Japanese run-and-gun series, first launched in 1996 by Nazca Corporation, and later expanded into a multimedia franchise. Awakening isn't the series' first mobile venture (remember Metal Slug Defense, Attack, and Commander?); however, it promises enhanced features and gameplay.

The game retains the core shooter mechanics while boasting updated visuals and new gameplay elements. Rejoin your favorite Metal Slug characters in fresh missions, tackling a World Adventure mode, teaming up with friends in 3-player co-op, and conquering Roguelike challenges.
